About the Organisation
At Lotus Petal Foundation, we believe that change happens One Child at a time. Founded in 2011 with just six children in a one-room school, today we are rewriting the story of access, equity, and dignity for thousands of underserved children in Gurgaon. We work across three critical areas - Education, Nutrition, and Livelihood-to provide holistic development and lifelong opportunity for every child we serve.
About SSS Program
Our structured volunteering program invites students & youth from India and across the world to contribute their time, skills, and efforts towards the cause of education. This initiative supports Lotus Petal Senior Secondary School, a CBSE-affiliated school located in Dhunela, Gurugram, dedicated to providing quality education to children from underserved communities.
1. SSS Model: The SSS program is designed to create tangible social impact by blending hands-on student interactions and garnering support through campaigns seeking contribution from friends/ family/ connections for one child Education at Lotus Petal Senior Secondary School. Volunteers contribute 80 hours—divided between student engagement and campaigns supporting underserved children’s education.
18 hours are devoted to orientation, interactive sessions and feedback consolidation. While the remaining 62 hours are achieved by encouraging others to contribute a sum of ₹62,000, through a crowdfunding online campaign enabling one child to access a full year of education. This model transforms volunteer time into lasting educational empowerment.
2. Breakdown of Volunteering Commitment- 80 hours

Who Can Apply
- Students (Undergraduate/Postgraduate) from India and abroad, aged 16–24 who are passionate about education and social impact.
- Individuals passionate about connecting, inspiring, and making a real difference in a child’s learning journey.
- Commitment to completing the 80 hours of engagement.
- Willingness to support 1 child’s education and advocate for the cause.
- Availability on Saturdays for conducting volunteering sessions.
- Volunteers based in Gurgaon and Delhi will conduct on-site sessions at our school in Dhunela, Haryana.
- Volunteers from outside Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, or India can participate by conducting online sessions.
Volunteer Selection Process
To ensure the right fit and maximize impact, our volunteer acceptance process is thoughtfully structured:
Application Form: Interested individuals submit a detailed application form.
Interview: Selected candidates are invited for an interview with the Volunteer Engagement Team.
Final Selection: Based on the overall evaluation, final results are communicated to the candidates.
Through this process, we aim to build a passionate community of volunteers committed to the cause of children.
