Kushal has a degree in engineering from BIT Mesra and an MBA from IIM Lucknow. He has sterling work experience of 20 years in the corporate world. Children and education have been two subjects that have occupied his thoughts frequently though they had no direct relation with his work at the time. Kushal wanted to make a difference.

Dr. Nandita Chakraborty

Trustee

Dr. Nandita is a gold medallist doctor (MD, DNB), a marathon runner, and a silent philanthropist. She runs the weekly OPD at Lotus Petal Foundation and is also involved in leading the monthly health camp on the campus. She says working with Lotus Petal Foundation feeds her soul.

Madhu Mehrotra

Governing Council Member

Madhu is a homemaker and social crusader. Her deep-rooted belief in the need to uplift the life of the underprivileged is what got her involved with Lotus Petal Foundation. Over the years, her varied skills and contacts have added value to the foundation in more ways than one.

Manish Gupta

Governing Council Member

Manish Gupta is a practicing Chartered Accountant, an Insolvency professional and the Co-Founder of mysharedcfo.com. He has worked with MNCs like IBM, Genpact and Agilent Technologies. His years of corporate experience and expertise in the F&A domain are of immense value to Lotus Petal Foundation.

Achal Kaneja

Governing Council Member

Achal Kaneja is a nature lover, runner, Indian history buff, and foodie by nature. He has worked as General Manager at PepsiCo. Achal helps organize the periodic fundraising drives for Lotus Petal Foundation.

Arghya Sen

Advisory Board member

Arghya Sen is a management graduate from XISS, Ran and currently holds a leadership position at an MNC. He uses his years of corporate experience and a strategic planning skills to give advice on matters of expansion and management at Lotus Petal Foundation.

Yoginder Singh

Advisory Board Member

Yoginder has over 20 years of experience as a practicing lawyer both in Courts and as an in-house corporate lawyer. After over 20 years of illustrious career he set up Yogi & Partners, a boutique law firm focused on the niche area of Food Laws, Economic Legislations, and Corporate Legal Compliances.

Shalabh Srivastava

Advisory Board Member

Shalabh closely works with the founder and management team of the Foundation as an honorary mentor. He currently serves as Senior Fellow at CSEP, Delhi (Centre for Social and Economic Progress Research Foundation). Earlier, he was the Country Director (chief executive and whole-time director) of Research Triangle Institute’s Indian Subsidiary (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Research Triangle Institute (RTI International), USA), and Management Consultant at Accenture. He is an IIT IIM alumnus.

Manmohan Lal Sarin

Advisory Board Member

Mr Manmohan Lal Sarin, lovingly called “Mac Sarin” has over 50 years of experience as a law practitioner. Senior Consultant & Patron for Sarin & Co he has held several positions like Advocate General for the states of Punjab and Haryana. He still continues to practice at the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. He has also been the Chairman, Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana.He has been Bestowed the Award of “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Merite” by Government of France in 2016 – the second highest Award in France. Shri Sarin has authored and co-authored many books on law and is the Editor of a number of Law Journals.

Mujib Mundewadi

Advisory Board Member

Mujib Mundewadi specializes in the areas of Private Equity, Banking, Investments, Risk Management and Global Financial markets. He has over 26 years of experience in strategic and operational roles in financial structuring, negotiating investments and joint ventures, cross border taxation and structuring private equity, distressed financial assets management, real estate finance, corporate banking and project finance. He served as Managing Director of CarVal India Private Limited (a Cargill company) in his last corporate assignment. In this role, he was responsible for investing and managing approx. USD 200 mn across India. He started his career with ICICI Bank Limited, where he spent more than a decade in areas of project finance, corporate banking and distressed assets management.

Soumik Bhusan

Advisory Board Member

Soumik Bhusan has an industry experience of close to 18 years and has been a part of both mid and large-sized organizations. He started his corporate career with Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) in 2006. Soumik also worked with Goldman Sachs, Reliance, Titan, Macmillan Publishing, Al Tayer (Dubai), and Amazon. In these organizations, he executed different roles in finance, strategy, and operations. His most extended term (5 years and 2 months) was with Amazon, where he grew both horizontally and vertically.

Soumik’s last role at Amazon was as a Head of Customer Experience Strategy (Customer Service). He left Amazon in August 2020 to help start-ups and fulfil his dream to contribute towards education. Soumik is a Chartered Accountant from India and England & Wales. He also completed PGD in Forex and Treasury Management (ICFAI), CISA (ISACA), and Executive General Management (EGMP, IIMB). He consults start-ups and other organisations on fundraising & business processes re-engineering and is also an educator at multiple business schools. Soumik resides in Bangalore with his family.
